It centres on the story of Ted Lasso, an American football coach who was appointed head coach of the English soccer team AFC Richmond. It is a fictitious comedy-drama series that draws influence from several historical real-life football events.

When EA and Ted Lasso’s official Twitter handle on September 21 stated that Ted Lasso’s players and its side AFC Richmond will be appearing in FIFA 23 starting on September 30, social media platforms were ecstatic. The chance to play members of their favourite football club and actors from their favourite series was a tremendous event for Ted Lasso’s fans all across the world.

According to EA sources, users may play FIFA 23 online or offline with Ted Lasso and AFC Richmond in a variety of game modes, including Career Mode in the Premier League, Kickoff for offline play, Online Friendlies, and Online Seasons for online play. AFC Richmond or any other FIFA side may be coached and led by Ted Lasso at the players’ discretion. Furthermore, they can compete against or play as any of their prefered series characters. It will also include Nelson Road Stadium, the team’s home field.
